St. John Bosco made a statement against Hawaii powerhouse Kahuku, turning an early 14-6 battle into a dominant 49-13 victory. The Braves caught fire on both sides of the ball, exploding for a 35-6 halftime lead before continuing to apply pressure in the second half to put the game away.
Quarterback Koa Malau’Ulu put on a spectacular performance, completing 24 of 29 passes for 366 yards and five touchdowns. His favorite targets, DJ Tubbs and Kuika Moaalii, were nearly unstoppable, with both receivers finishing the night with 132 yards apiece as Bosco’s passing attack overwhelmed the Kahuku defense.
While the Braves’ offense stole the spotlight, Kahuku found its own spark in Blake Alo, who powered his way to 134 yards on 15 carries. However, it wasn’t enough to slow down Bosco’s offensive explosion, as the Braves turned a competitive start into a convincing 36-point victory and delivered a statement win against one of Hawaii’s top programs.
