The Sierra Canyon Trailblazers came out firing to open the high school football season, taking on J-Serra in a matchup that featured big plays, explosive offense, and a defense that made its presence felt all night.
The Trailblazers came out fast, scoring twice in each of the first three quarters and setting the tone from the opening whistle. But the biggest story of the night may have been the defense — especially sophomore TE/DL Stephan Harrison. At 6’5″, 265 pounds, Harrison was a constant problem for J-Serra. The sophomore recorded an interception and spent the night making plays in the backfield, whether it was shutting down the run or putting pressure on the quarterback.
