September 26, 2026 – Tyran Stokes — the No. 1 high school basketball player in the country — made waves in his first football game for Notre Dame High School (Sherman Oaks, CA) on Friday night!
The 6’8″, 250-pound athletic phenom showed off his skills on the gridiron with a 45-yard touchdown catch in a dominant 57-14 win over Culver City.
He was targeted seven times and finished with two catches for 57 yards. He nearly had a second touchdown, but it was called back due to a penalty — still, it was a highlight-reel grab! Stokes didn’t take long to make an impact, checking into the game during Notre Dame’s third drive in the first quarter.
He was thrown to right away, though the first pass was just out of reach.
