November 21, 2025 – What a wild night in Southern California football! Centennial (Corona) and Mater Dei went blow-for-blow in a semifinal showdown that came down to the final seconds — and the Huskies walked out with a 28–27 thriller. Mater Dei lined up for a 46-yard field goal with nine seconds to go, hoping to steal the game back… but Centennial got a hand on it, sending the kick tumbling and their sideline into chaos.
Centennial’s offense came alive when it mattered most. Senior QB Dominick Catalano led a gutsy 76-yard march in the final four minutes, finishing it off with a clutch touchdown strike to Keawe Browne to take the lead with a minute and a half left.
Mater Dei had jumped ahead early and traded punches throughout the second half, including a fast screen to Kayden Dixon-Wyatt and a red-zone touchdown from Ryan Hopkins to Chris Henry Jr. But the Huskies refused to back down, matching every swing with one of their own.
