The San Ramon Valley Wolves came ready to battle and had the De La Salle Spartans on the ropes in the first half of this Friday night league showdown! But championship football is about more than just the first two quarters. After a crucial halftime break, the Spartans’ coaching staff made the necessary adjustments, and De La Salle came out looking like an entirely different team. The Spartans found their rhythm, took control of the game, and pulled away for a hard-fought 31–14 victory over the visiting Wolves.
San Ramon Valley showed why it entered the matchup with a 7–0 record, giving the undefeated Spartans a serious challenge early on. But De La Salle’s second-half response proved to be the difference, as the Spartans improved to 8–0 on the season and continued their impressive run.
