Mater Dei Rallies From 21 Down to Stun No. 1 St. John Bosco in Trinity League Thriller

October 25, 2025 – The Mater Dei Monarchs pulled off a stunning 36-31 comeback victory over the nation’s No. 1 St. John Bosco Braves at Panish Family Stadium. Down by 21 in the second quarter, the Monarchs found another gear — led by star wideouts Chris Henry Jr. and Kayden Dixon-Wyatt (both Ohio State commits), who combined for five touchdowns.

On defense, CJ Lavender Jr. (UCLA commit) came up clutch with two interceptions, including one in the final minutes to seal the win. Despite a record-setting night for Bosco receiver Madden Williams, who became the school’s all-time TD leader, a late miscue on the 1-yard line cost the Braves their undefeated season.
